Prince Kunda Kemoi, Head of Geo-information Management
Prince Kemoi is a multi-skilled Consultant with 5 years of working experience and expertise in providing services and solutions to both the public and private sectors. He has profound technical skills in Environmental Resources Management, including Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA); Geographic Information System (GIS) using ESRI products (ArcGIS Desktop, Mobile and server); Climate Change and Disaster Management; Research, Monitoring and Evaluation; Geoscientific Data and Information Management, including Geological Mapping and Interpretation, Mineral Exploration and Mining.
He has excellent skills and good working knowledge of using various GIS, Remote Sensing, Web/Content Management Systems and Database Management Tools to implement solutions for various projects. He also possesses good technical skills in designing mobile data collection tools using ESRI products (Collector for ArcGIS and Survey 123), GeoODK and Fulcrum and also IBM – SPSS and STATA for data analysis.
He has in-depth working knowledge on Environmental Management including Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Abbreviated Resettlement Action Plan (ARAP) and Community Development Action Plan (CDAP) where he took responsibility as an Environmental Expert (Air Quality, Noise and Water Analyst) on several Projects in Sierra Leone which include; Environmental Impact Assessment for United Nation Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Freetown Emergency Recovery Project – Landslide Remediation; Environmental and Social Impact Assessments for Natural Habitat (SL) LTD Oil Palm Project in Pujehun District; Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) of Copperbelt Energy Corporation Africa – Sierra Leone (CECA – SL) Ltd's Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) Power Generation (128 MW) Project in Freetown, Sierra Leone; Establishment of a Baseline Database of the Environmental Component of the Côte d'Ivoire-Liberia-Sierra Leone and Guinea (CLSG) Project Area in Sierra Leone where he took responsibility and show leadership to collect, stored and analysed environmental data on air quality, water quality, and noise monitoring.
Prince was also actively involved in the Environmental and Socio-Economic Impact Survey (ESIS) of Keimadugu Community within Shandong Steel (SL) Limited’s Tonkolili Iron Ore Project (TIOP) Concession in Tonkolili District, Sierra Leone where he collected and analysed soil samples to ascertain if laterite waste from the mine site is impacting current farming areas and depriving the community people of their economic activities. Prince holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Geology from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone 2013.
