Akmed is a dynamic and results-driven Consultant, Drone Pilot, and Mechanical Engineer at INTEGEMS. He holds an honors degree in Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering from Fourah Bay College (FBC), Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. With a strong background in Environmental and Natural Resource Management, Akmed specializes in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), contributing to sustainable infrastructure and development projects. As a skilled GIS analyst and proficient ArcGIS Pro user, Akmed integrates advanced geospatial technologies with drone-based data collection to drive precision mapping, environmental monitoring, and disaster risk assessment. A proud member of Sierra Leone Flying Labs, he has successfully led and contributed to high-impact projects, including:
- Lungi Tank Farm Project – Mapping and spatial analysis for infrastructure development.
- Sandhill & VIP – Comprehensive geospatial assessment.
- Akuna Project – Drone-based mapping and analysis.
- Disaster-Prone Area Mapping – Conducted an in-depth assessment of the affected zones following the last building collapse at Shell, utilizing cutting-edge drone technology, including the Matrice 300 RTK.
